TINA HATCH

Tina Hatch has worked in the field of international education and higher education for over 15 years.  She worked for 10 years at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s International Student Services office as an advisor and Assistant Director for Cross-Cultural Engagement and Advising.  Most recently, Tina worked at Madison College as an international student advisor.  At UW-Madison, in addition to advising, Tina supervised and trained F-1 visa advisors, oversaw co-curricular education and programming for multiple years, oversaw many student wellness, diversity, and student life initiatives within the office, and supported the day-to-day management of the office.  Prior to her roles advising and managing within International Student Services, Tina managed the Learning Enhancement Program at University of Utah, overseeing the Tutoring Center, Supplemental Instruction, and the Strategies for College Success course.  Tina has taught interpersonal and intercultural communication and college success courses, as well as ESL part-time for two years with the International Rescue committee.  Tina has served on multiple university committees, including co-chairing the Committee on Women at UW-Madison and University of Utah, committees on student mental health, international recruitment and engagement, diversity and inclusion, LGBTQ, and language learning.  Tina has an MA in Communication and BA in French and English. She loves advising, supporting students, travel, cross-cultural exchange, food, spending time in nature, and spending time with her family.  She has lived in Norway and studied abroad in France, taught English short-term in China and volunteered in Thailand.
